Shajiabang Scenic Area

Introduction of Shajiabang Scenic Area:

The Shajiabang Scenic Area is a household name, thanks to the modern Peking Opera of the same name. This place, once a hotbed of the Anti-Japanese War, has now become a holiday destination that integrates red culture, traditional folk culture, culinary culture, and wetland culture. The scenic area covers more than 6,000 mu (about 400 hectares) and is one of the 100 classic red tourism attractions in China, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, a national wetland park, a national base for patriotism education, and a national base for national defense education.

The scenic area is characterized by its vast reeds, extensive water areas, and dense greenery, which form the natural green ecological theme of the Jiangnan water town. It has successively developed functional areas such as the revolutionary tradition education zone, the aquatic plant viewing area, the Red Stone Folk Culture Village, the reed water and land maze, the Hengjing Old Street film and television base, and the Shajiabang Wetland Park. It has also created a variety of distinctive tourism products, including red education tours, green ecological tours, golden culinary tours, film and television culture tours, and leisure and wellness tours. The scenic area also features several exquisite boutique inns, such as Jiangnan Reed Bay and Jiuzhu Yilu, which are ideal places to relax and refresh oneself. It has become a unique leisure and holiday resort in the Yangtze River Delta region.
